This is actually a pretty common perception about movie theater foods—that they are fattening and that they packed the much-dreaded calories.
A study of the Center for Science for Public Interest also proved this claim by some researchers and scientists. According to the findings, a typical value combo of a medium popcorn and soda contains as many calories and grams of saturated fat as three Quarter Pounders slathered with 12 pats of butter.
So see? Even something as airy as popcorns know that movie theater foods are actually more deadly than the usual calorie-laden snacks. Movie theater foods actually contain outrageously high amount of fat and calories. In fact, even the nutritional information included in their packs is mostly misleading.
The best thing to do, of course, is to try to stop yourself from eating buttery popcorns during movie nights and instead, opt for carrot munchies and hummus or even low-fat popcorn.
