Americans Have Unhealthier Lifestyles Than Two Decades Ago

Despite numerous public campaigns on the importance of eating healthy, a study found out that American have unhealthier lifestyles today than twenty years ago.

The Medical University of South Carolina compared the studies conducted between 1988 to 2006, and came up with several signs that proved Americans are becoming more unhealthy as years passed.

The five key areas that the Medical University of South Carolina found out will be published in the American Journal of Medicine. Those were:

  • The percentage of adults aged 40 to 74 with a BMI of 30+ rose from 28% to 36%.
  • The number of people exercising three or more times per week fell from 53% to 43%.

I am not fond of salad, as I mentioned many posts before this one. And I am not particularly inclined this recipe too will make me think more of diving into greens and reds and yellows and oranges, etc. However, I completely love Giada deLaurentis to bits and pieces… so much that I have actually tried a few of her recipes and really liked them.
