Despite numerous public campaigns on the importance of eating healthy, a study found out that American have unhealthier lifestyles today than twenty years ago.

The Medical University of South Carolina compared the studies conducted between 1988 to 2006, and came up with several signs that proved Americans are becoming more unhealthy as years passed.

The five key areas that the Medical University of South Carolina found out will be published in the American Journal of Medicine. Those were:

  • The percentage of adults aged 40 to 74 with a BMI of 30+ rose from 28% to 36%.
  • The number of people exercising three or more times per week fell from 53% to 43%.

I am not fond of salad, as I mentioned many posts before this one. And I am not particularly inclined this recipe too will make me think more of diving into greens and reds and yellows and oranges, etc. However, I completely love Giada deLaurentis to bits and pieces… so much that I have actually tried a few of her recipes and really liked them. Yeah, including this one.

Here’s something we all shouldn’t do: eat while driving. Although I am not especially innocent of the crime (because once in a while, you just got to eat while driving since you do no have the time to do so later), I refuse also to encourage other motorists to do what I have been doing when I’m really, really starving.

The BeltzBib is made especially for this particular situation. Imagine driving a car, eating cheesy French fries, nachos or just your regular burger… more than the usual, you’ll get some stuff on your shirt, making you curse you ever stuffed food down your throat when the stain won’t just go away.

I remember seeing the menu at my previous school and gagging for all the unappetizing food they expect us to eat there—macaroni, porridge and oh yeah… softdrinks for breakfast. What kind of system is that?

Cafeteria lunches are known to be horrible in probably all the corners of all the schools in this world. But the blog, School Lunch Talk, is making a comparative study on how other countries have been feeding their students.

In France, lunch is the time to teach students how to have healthy eating habits. An example of their “healthy eating habit” is a meal of Basque chicken thigh with herbs, red and green bell peppers and olive…

Usually when I think about models, nutritionists and diet-addicts, I imagine them eating nothing but pure greens. And when I think about pure greens, my mind immediately wanders to the salad bar. For most part, I believe salads are usually composed of lettuce, large chunk of tomatoes, onions, red cabbage, etc.

But here, Chef Davis gave us a new twist to what was normally a boring and tasteless concoction of greens and, okay, reds. In addition to the usual base of your salad, you can add asparagus, green beans, snap peas, beets, corn, baby corn, radishes, sprouts, avocado, broccoli, artichokes and mushrooms. The list is actually endless, according to Chef Davis.

I have always been a fan of eggs, or any poultry products for that matter. If I can have it my way, I think I’ll crack an egg on almost everything I have to eat. But of all the delicacies you can create with an egg, I was never much a fan of the poaching it.

My cousin though, who’s into inventing diet foods, made something akin to how to poach an egg perfectly. However, seeing as I lost her recipe, I decided to browse the net for some secret recipe a netizen might be able to reveal.

The “perfect” method comes from the Complete How to Cook by Delia Smith. According…
