
I’m not a big fan of herbs. Aside from the occasional mint in my iced tea, I never really like putting herbs in food (yes, even rosemary in my roasted chicken). I find their taste rather overpowering. But basils are of the different kind. I remember eating Thai rice once with fresh whole basil leaves in them. The taste is simply divine.
Basils are usually combined with tomato and mozzarella although I never had an inkling of eating it when it’s used as toppings for pizza.
