Seriously Sick: Food For When You're Under the Weather

All of us have different ways of dealing with ourselves when we are sick. But the most problem we encounter when we’re feeling under the weather is the kind of food we can eat (or the food we would most likely only want to eat).

And since there are multitude of blogs and websites on this one, I decided that for once let me be more personal when it comes to discussing food for the sick. For myself, nothing comforts me but the fact that I have a whole refrigerator full of foods I may crave in the middle of a cold night and high fever. My mom would usually buy me apple juice, Hototai soup, different pastries, etc.

But the one thing I cannot forget about being sick and enjoying food is the time some old-fashioned chicken noodle soup was brought inside my room. After five days of suffering from an on/off fever, that was the first time I smiled again. Nothing beats the aroma of freshly cooked chicken in noodle soup.

What are your comfort foods when you’re sick? I’m sure we’re all just a little kid when it comes to being sick. Holler below and let’s see how we guys compare.
