As bell peppers start to climb up the veggie fall season, we can also now begin thinking of what recipes are good with these early crop of fall vegetables. The bell pepper hits their peak during the months of August and September (bingo!).
The color of the bell peppers you choose will greatly differ: the green and purple bell peppers brings a bitter flavor while the red, orange and yellow bell peppers are sweeter and fruitier. Bell peppers can be cooked alone or can be added in some other dishes.
Here are some recipes you can try out with bell peppers: Angel Hair Pasta with Pepper and Basil Pesto, Pepper Hash, Fire Roasted Peppers with Boqueronesm, White Bean Gratin with Red Peppers and Rosemary, Carmine’s Beef Cutlet Milanese with Caper, Roasted Pepper, and Tomato Butter Sauce, Red Pepper Cheesecake with Homemade Pita Chips, Roasted Pepper Salad and Sausage Stuffed Peppers.
