One large bucket of popcorn contains 1,800 calories, according to reports. And so no, movie theaters in the United Kingdom are being pushed to put calorie content information on their snacks.
Some of the most popular movie theater snacks are:
* Large popcorn: around 1,800 calories - the entire daily energy requirement of an average 5-10 year old
* Nachos: 716 calories - a big pasta dinner
* Large cola: 328 calories - enough for a light lunch (sandwich and fruit)
And so what do we need to do in order to cut from our calorie intake during movie theater days? You can try buying the smallest size of drinks and going for diet sodas or better yet water to quench your thirst. You can also bring your own snacks like raw almonds and other healthy snacks.
Remember that it is always better to prevent getting sick today rather than finding a cure tomorrow.
