A research recently showed that a low-carb diet is much more effective than a low-fat diet and even against the drug, Xenical.
According to a study published in the Archives of Internal Medicine, an experiment of 146 overweight participants (divided into two groups) for 48 months showed that the low-carb group marked a reduction in blood pressure, and also that 47 percent of the low-carb group reduced or discontinued their blood pressure medication.
Although both groups lost nearly 10 percent of their body weight and saw relative changes in their body weight, cholesterol level and blood sugar levels, it is still the low-carb group that reflected a more reasonable plumage of risk in terms of illnesses.
This study proves that people can lose weight even without the use of medication. And since low-card group showed a better way to protect our health and our body (from gaining weight), then it is best for us to stay away from pastas, rice and breads.
