A new study has found out there’s actually link between food allergy and obesity in kids. An experiment involving 4000 children has suggested the said result.
The children who participated in the study were aged 2 and 19 years old. Before the experiment took place, wider health factors beside obesity and allergies were considered by Dr. Cindy Visness, the research head.
“Overweight and obese children were over 50 percent more likely than those of normal weight to be allergic to milk. Over all, the obese and overweight children were about 25 percent more likely to have one or more food allergies,” the New York Times was quoted as saying.
Children with food allergies are likely to eat less balanced diet and unhealthy foods, which causes their chances of becoming overeaters or obese children, the head researcher said.
The importance of a proper diet cannot be emphasized enough in these posts. Having a healthy lifestyle will not only make you fitter for today’s activities but more so, it will lessen your potential of becoming sickly when you reach the ripe old age of 60 or 70. If you want to minimize the chances of your children to become obese in the future, you better start instilling in your child the importance of eating nutritious foods.
