And because of this, some company decided to produce this “Sit/Stand Desk,” where users are given the choice to either stand or sit.
The desks apparently have a number of health benefits, including increasing productivity, reducing neck and back pain, providing more energy throughout the day and improving the body’s flexibility. Also, it said that standing up will help us burn more calories than when we are sitting down. Approximately 12 to 50 calories per hour can be lost just by standing up.
According to dieters, if you give yourself the chance to stand up instead of sitting down, you can lose a whole lot of calories. Desks like these, however, don’t come in cheap. They can be expected for a whopping price of $2,000.
