Most moms think that running after their kids can be considered a form of exercise. But a new study disproves this belief, and said that chasing kids is not much a workout after all.
Parenting can be mentally and physically exhausting, but when researchers studied a group of 58 mothers with young children, they found out that most of them are only getting about 30 minutes of exercise a day—and those were the ones who do daily regular workouts.
For an active and healthy lifestyle for mothers, here are some tips:
* Invest in a quality jogging stroller.
* Ditto on the bike trailer
* Put it on your schedule (the workout, I mean).
* Instead of getting a sitter for date night, have them come over on a weekend afternoon and plan an active date with your spouse.
* Even though chasing your kids isn’t a workout, you can workout with your kids.
Parenting is tough work, but it is also better to keep yourself healthy. After all, it’s not just going to benefit yourself but your kids as well.
